About the Counselor

Jennipher earned her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from McKendree University in 2007. She completed her supervision hours for Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulations Licensure counseling children, adolescents, and families involved in the Department of Children and Family Services. The focus of  her counseling treatment was trauma and abuse, grief and loss, stress management, anger management, ADD/ADHD, and adjustment disorder. Jennipher uses an approach that incorporates the mind, body, and spirit connection. She assesses the needs of her clients when implementing therapeutic theories and techniques.

Counseled adolescents residing in an Illinois Department of Human Services Funded Residential Facility governed by Rule 384 guidelines. Services included both Individual and Group counseling sessions.

Practicum- Mental Health Professional for Screening, Assessment, and Support Services (SASS). SASS is an Illinios Medicaid Funded program providing crisis intervention services to children and adolescents at risk.
